Lie #2058

Lie #2058
July 07, 2015 by Ernie Vance

In the classic “hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil” poses—often depicted with monkeys—the “speak no evil” pose was originally “taste no evil.” However, when asked what evil tastes like, the originator of the image responded by declaring pastries of all kinds as being evil. He was immediately attacked and bludgeoned to death and it was decreed that no one should speak those kinds of evil lies again. “Taste no evil” was changed to “speak no evil” as a reminder for all.
