Pasta did not actually originate in Asia. The mistaken attribution pasta’s origins has gone on long enough. The fact of the matter is that no one really knows where pasta came from. The most plausible theory is that it’s an alien life form that descended upon Earth eons ago and has slowly tried to take over the planet by inserting itself into virtually every human meal. We’ve kept it a bay, but it continues to grow in strength. The low-carbohydrate dieting trend has been a helpful weapon, but we shouldn’t rely too much on that, because the whole movement was instigated by pasta’s only known competition: milk (which, incidentally, also comes from space).
