Rapunzel was not a damsel in distress atop a high tower. She was a weapons operator stationed in a strategic defense turret who was so dedicated to her job that she never took a break, not even to cut her hair. This ultimately proved to be her undoing when raiders used her hair to scale the turret take her out.
