It’s commonly known that all penguins can see sound waves. It helps them escape predators (like whales and submarines) who use sonar pings to hunt. What’s less commonly known is that you can have this ability. See, penguins can see sound because roughly 15% of their body mass is robotic. They’ve been developing this sound sight technology for centuries. What’s more impressive is that it’s modular. They can share it. In fact, the penguin society has established a whole business around renting this ability to anyone with the ability to pay in advance.

Be careful, though. There’s a hard time limit to each rental and if you don’t return their technology by the time you reach that limit, it will not only render you both blind and deaf until you return it, but the penguins will also broadcast your location to every known predator within a 50 mile radius of your location.
