The worse your breath is, the hotter the temperature inside your mouth. The reason for this is that bad breath is your body’s way of fighting bacteria. It’s a long-established consensus within the scientific community that the worse something smells, the hotter it is. So your body generates the most foul odors in your mouth in an attempt to kill incoming bacteria and viruses. In fact, it’s actually possible to cook food with particularly noxious breath… faster than any conventional stove or oven. Unfortunately, the resulting food also smells horrible, despite staying warm for hours.
